Studio 211 Gallery Opening, Sunday November 16

The exhibition Studio 211 opens with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, in the second floor gallery at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street.

The exhibit features works by artists from the studio of Jack and Elise Lerman, including Ruth Bittner, Bud Brock, Bill Chip, Dick Clark, Don Draganski, Doris Gilbert, Pat Gladden, Bonnie Hanover, Rachel Heuman, Catharine Jones, Eileen Kandel, Ken Kantor, Diane Kotin, Diana Leifer, Pam Moore, Barbara Nicholson, Ginny Peters, Sharon Russell, Josephine Schneider, Maggy Shell, Barbara Silverman, Bill Termyn, Jill Van Wagenen, Linda Winstead, and Robert Witt. Also featured are artists in residence Lisa Goesling, Carl Johnson, Mark Lale, Terri Morrissey, and Len Upin.

Studio 211 runs through December 18. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday; admission is free.

Cultural Fund Grant Applications Due TOMORROW, November 14

The deadline for submission of Evanston Arts Council/City of Evanston Cultural Fund Grant applications is fast approaching. Applications are due in the Cultural Arts Division office at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2008.
The Cultural Fund Grant Program provides project support to Evanston arts organizations and individual artists. Support is available for projects that will take place from May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010.
Applications can be downloaded, or picked up in person at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, the downtown Evanston Public Library, and the
Civic Center
