Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival, July 18-19, 2009

The Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival is a two-day celebration of cultural diversity presenting the best in ethnic art, food and performance for over 25,000 people. Over 80 cultures are represented at the lakefront on the third weekend in July, through 125 juried artists/craftspeople who exhibit and sell their work, food vendors, family arts activities, and two stages of continuous entertainment with performances of ethnic music and dance.

Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival, August 1-2, 2009

Held the first weekend of August, the Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival, also at the lakefront, presents 125 juried local and national artists exhibiting ceramics, sculpture, textiles, paintings, jewelry, photography, glass and woodwork to an audience of more than 20,000. The entertainment line-up features live classical, jazz, and folk music. An array of food vendors, a children’s craft tent, and a silent auction make this a destination event every summer.
